18/09/2010: Fil-Am Charmette Bonpua Honored Posthumously
FIL-AM CHARMETTE BONPUA HONORED POSTHUMOUSLY

Los Angeles, 17 September 2010 – A dedication ceremony was held to unveil the “The Charmette Bonpua Skate Park Monument” in honor of Filipino-American Charmette Bonpua on 16 September 2010 at the Rancho Cienega Sports Complex in Los Angeles, California.
Charmette Bonpua, prior to her untimely demise in February 2010, served as Chief of Staff to Los Angeles Councilmember Herb J. Wesson, Jr. from 2005 to 14 February 2010.
The dedication ceremony was attended by Councilmember Wesson, Philippine Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon, members of the Bonpua family, colleagues, and members of the community of multicultural background.
