Los Angeles, 22 November 2011 – Vice Consul Mary Joy B. Ramirez led a team from the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles and conducted a consular outreach program in Dallas, Texas, U.S.A. on 17 – 20 November 2011.
The consular outreach program was undertaken in cooperation with the Philippine American Chamber of Commerce of Texas (PACC Texas) under the leadership of Ms. Ethel Mercado, State President, and Ms. Elna Mallari, Region Chair.
A total of 1,017 consular services were rendered during the four-day consular outreach program, breakdown of which are as follows:

Also, to support the Save Our Industries (SAVE) Act, a total of 915 letters to senators and representatives were collected.
Vice Consul Ramirez was accompanied by Misses Melchora Tagle & Rowena Namay, and Messrs. Rodel Lomibao, Manny Moran, Edmund Gidaya and Amor Ibañez.
The Consular Outreach Program is a regular activity of the Consulate to bring its various services closer to its constituents residing in areas within its jurisdiction.
