Los Angeles, 15 September 2011 – The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles held a simple ceremony in recognition of its personnel who are awardees for 2011.

Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon congratulated the 2011 Loyalty Awardees for twenty (20) years of continuous service, namely Mr. Carlo P. Cabral, Ms. Carryn S. Espiritu, Mr. Rodel F. Lomibao, Mr. Vittorio A. Palado, Mr. Roderick B. Sierra and Mr. Hilario G. Villamin. The Consulate’s 2011 loyalty awardee for thirty (30) years of continuous service is Mr. Elias J. Balawag.  Mr. Balawag, whose tour of duty ended on July 2011, was represented by his wife, Ms. Rosalinda Balawag.

Consul General Aragon also presented a Certificate signed by DFA Secretary Albert del Rosario to Ms. Marites S.C. Ople, the Philippine Consulate General’s Outstanding Employee for 2011. Nominations for outstanding employees are submitted every year for review and deliberation by the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila.
