Los Angeles, 15 September 2011 – Consulate officials, Consul General Mary Jo Bernardo Aragon, Trade Representative Archimedes Gomez, Vice Consul Mary Joy Ramirez, and representatives from the Filipino American community, Ms. Emily Salinas Roberts and Mr. Danny Du of the Pilipino Chamber of Commerce of Southern California met with Mr. Percy Pinkney, Senior State Field Representative of the Los Angeles District Office of Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) to campaign for the Save Our Industries Act (SAVE Act).

Consulate officials also gave Mr. Pinkney 200 petition letters in support of the SAVE Act addressed to Senator Feinstein.  These letters were collected from the Filipino-American community in Southern California.
