DFA sets up hotline numbers for those with kin in Japan
MANILA – Following the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and the tsunami that hit the northeastern part of Japan on Friday, 11 March 2011, the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Philippine Embassy in Tokyo, Japan have set up hotline numbers and an e-mail addresses for those who wish to inquire about the condition of family members who may have been affected.

The DFA estimates that there are 305,972 Filipino nationals throughout Japan.
