VICE PRESIDENT BINAY VISITS LOS ANGELES

Los Angeles, 1 February 2011 – The Honorable Jejomar C. Binay, Vice President of the Republic of the Philippines, made a brief visit to Los Angeles, California en route to his official trip to Washington D.C. to attend the National Prayer Breakfast.

While in Los Angeles, Los Angeles City Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa called on the Vice President on 31 January 2011.

The Vice President, who was also accompanied by Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay, Jr, and Mayor Villaraigosa discussed matters of mutual interests and agreed to strengthen the ties between Makati City and Los Angeles City, which became sister cities since 28 January 1992.
